Here’s what Douglas LaBier Ph.D. said in an article he wrote a while back. “The mental health field doesn’t really deal with mental health. It’s lost sight of what mental health is. Consequently, the public assumes that keeping symptoms quelled and dysfunction well-managed is equivalent to health.”

Technically, most people don’t understand the actual definition of the word health, let alone mental health. But there are a number of things one can do to ensure they stay healthy and not just mentally healthy, but both physically and socially as well.
